On October 23rd, 2011 Oshawa Airport closed its runways for the second annual 5K On The Runway. The event is a fundraiser for Oshawa’s Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre. With support from many local business and the City of Oshawa the event raised over $44,000 and saw over 600 participants run and walk the 1K and 5K courses.
