The Oshawa District Recreational Aircraft Association held their 14^th annual Baryard Fly-In at Hawkefield on Spetember 12. Located near Orono, Ontario, the event opened with low clouds and the chance of rain but as the day progressed the weather moved on finished with clear blue skies. Despite the weather over 50 aircraft visited Hawkefield and enjoyed free corn and great food. For those that arrived early, Canadian Inventor, sculptor and naturalist, Bill “Father Goose” Lishman demonstrated his “Air First Aid” weight-shift ultra light droppable pod when he flew in two separate pods containing corn for the corn roast.
