On 16 November 1994, Eric performed his first A2A photoshoot on the set of Iron Eagle IV. Despite the movie being unsuccessful it was the beginning of a dream come true for Eric. During filming he flew two sorties with Hannu Halminen’s crew who were contracted to perform the flying sequences in the movie. Mr. Halminen’s three Harvards and Waco YMF-5 were the main aircraft used in the movie that also featured special appearances by Norm and Kent Beckham and other pilots.

Harvard 20432 was modified to carry up to eight cameras externally. All three Harvards, as well as the Beckham’s Harvards were marked identically. The only difference being Mr. Halminen’s Harvards were Mk.4s and the Beckham’s were Mk.IIs.

Notable actors included Lou Gossett Jr. and Al Waxman. Good friend and contributor to this website, Larry Flieler was also an extra on the movie set. Site locations included Oshawa Airport, Hawkefield and CFB Downsview.
