On 12 November 1994, Les Balla and Al Mulder performed the first post-restoration flight on Harvard Mk.II 2918 at Toronto International Airport. It was the first flight of 2918 since it was struck off strength from the RCAF. For the past 16 years the Harvard has been owned and flown by Pete Spence, Harvard lead for the Canadian Harvard Aerobatic Team.

Les Balla purchased 2918 from Central Technical High School in Toronto and restored the airframe at Toronto International Airport. He registered it as CF-NAH. Nine years later he sold the airframe to Pete Spence who still owns the Harvard and has flown it as Harvard lead in the Canadian Harvard Aerobatic Team. For the 25th anniversary of the first flight Pete Spence invited Les Balla and Al Mulder to come for a flight in the Harvard on November 12th. Unfortunately the weather caused the flight to be postponed until November 16th.
