In 1982, Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum member, Don McNall, purchased this Beechcraft  T-34 Mentor, s/n BG354, and had it painted in authentic RCAF colours. Although not a CWH aircraft, the T-34 operated on behalf of the foundation for several years until McNall sold the aircraft to Glenn Goldman.

The Royal Canadian Air Force purchased 25 Mentors in order to meet the needs of the NATO Air Training Plan. The aircraft were used in a trial at No. 4 Flying Training School at Penhold, Alberta. The aircraft was not selected and only flew from 19 July 1954 to 10 February 1955. One aircraft was lost in a training accident. One was given to Chile and the rest were donated to Greece and Turkey under NATO's Mutual Aid Program.
