On September 21st the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum held their first Lancaster night run and cockpit tour event. Tickets were sold out months in advance of this much-anticipated event.
For several hours ticket holders were able to tour the cockpits of many of the museum’s aircraft. As the sun set the Lancaster was positioned for the night run. The pavement was watered down and professional lighting put in place. To allow everyone a front row shot the Lancaster performed three engine runs and was started a fourth time to perform a night taxi.
A special thanks to everyone at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum who made the evening such a wonderful experience.
