The Great Lakes International Airshow is set to fly June 18-19 at the St. Thomas Airport. Located in the heart of South Western Ontario the show will feature the Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbirds Air Demonstration Team as well as the CF-18 Hornet Demonstration Team. For 2016 the Hornet will be specially marked to salute “Training for Victory” a salute to the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan.

Aerobatic performances will include Canada’s Red Bull Air Race pilot and local personality, Pete McLeod who never fails to impress the crowds with his extreme aerobatics.
Airshow legend, Manfred Radius will grace the skies with an aerial ballet in his H-101 Salto high-performance glider. His routine culminates with a tail-slide into a low-level inverted ribbon cut.
Dozens of aircraft from the Canadian Armed Forces and local civilians have been invited and will pack the static display. These will include biplanes like the deHavilland Tiger Moth and Bucker Jungmann and helicopters like the RCAF CH-146 Griffon and CH-147 Chinook.
