For the 2016 flying season the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum painted Lancaster FM-213 as KB-895 “Lady Orchid”. In 1952, FM-213 suffered a landing accident that caused significant damage to the wing centre-section. KB-895 provided the replacement centre-section that put FM-213 back in the air and is still flying today as one of only two airworthy Lancsaters in the world.

A complete story of FM-213 and KB-895
