KA114, is an early production Mosquito FB.26 built at de Havilland Canada's Downsview factory in Toronto. KA114 was flown straight into reserve storage with the Eastern Air Command and taken on RCAF charge on the 22nd February 1945.

Issued to No. 7 OTU at Debert, Nova Scotia on the 25th of February 1945, KA114 was returned to reserve storage on the 20th of April 1945 and subsequently to No. 2 Air Command reserve storage on the 23rd of May 1945. KA114 was next recorded in store with No. 103 Reserve Equipment Maintenace Satellite (REMS) at Vulcan, Alberta. On the 3rd of April 1948 KA114 was transferred to War Assets for disposal.

KA114 was transported to a farm near Milo, Alberta, where it remained for the next 30 years. In 1978 Ed Zalesky obtained the remains of KA114 for the Canadian Museum of Flight and Transportation. Jerry Yagen’s Fighter Factory purchased the remains of KA114 in 2004. The project was transferred to Avspecs in New Zealand for restoration to flying condition. On September 27th, 2012, KA114 made a successful test flight at Ardmore Airport in New Zealand. The paint scheme chosen was 487 Squadron RNZAF, EG-Y.

In earl April 2013 KA114 was being reassembled at the Military Aviation Museum in Virginia and appeared at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum’s Hamilton Air show over Father’s Day weekend in June.
