On 14 August 2021, COPA Flight 7 held their first event in two years at CYZR Chris Hadfield Airport. The Fly-In-Drive-In event saw an incredible 120 plus aircraft fly-in to support the airport awareness day. Col. Chris Hadfield along with his father, Roger were both on hand to greet and socialize with attendees. Roger Hadfield was the first person to land at the Sarnia airport back in 1958 when the first runway was built.
