The TG-4A was built in 1942 for the US Army to train combat glider pilots. In 1947, it was sold surplus to the Queen’s University Gliding Club in Kingston. Herrie maintains the glider in it’s 1947 markings with the US Army blue fuselage and yellow wings and original registration, CF-ZAJ. |It is believed to be the oldest glider currently flying in Canada.
