The 2018 edition of the Great Lakes International Airshow took place at St. Thomas airport on 17-18 June. Aircraft flying display featured two of the hottest warbirds in Canada, Michael Potter Aircraft Collection’s Mk IX Spitfire and Waterloo Warbird’s Mk 55 Vampire recently painted in the bat livery of RCAF 422 Squadron. Canadian Armed Forces participation included the Snowbirds, CF-18 Hornet Demo and a rare appearance of a retro-painted CH-124 Seaking that is transiting to the west coast for retirement. Brent Handy, Martin Hivon provided aerobatics while the Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association and Dave Hewitt and his Expeditor demonstrated their aircraft.
