The 2014 Ontario South Coast Airshow featured a great line up of local Canadian Airshow talent mixed with some well known American acts. Always a hit at any show and one of the star performers was Kent Pietsch and his Interstate Cadet. His comedic aerobatic routine mixed precision flying always keeps the spectators on their feet. Local pilot, Bill Shepard, demonstrated the Commemorative Air Force Red Tail Squadron’s P-51C Mustang. The Red Tail Mustang tells the motivational story of the Tuskegee Airmen who were the first black Americans to fly in combat during World War Two. Tillsonburg based Canadian Harvard Aircraft Association opened the show with formation passes demonstrating the historic RCAF trainer. Canadian aerobatic pilots Gordon Price and Mike Tryggvason demonstrated a Yak 50 and Giles 202. The sound of jets came from Danny Richer and Martin Mattes flying their L-29 Delphin and BAC Strikemaster. The highlight for many was meeting local Canadian Red Bull Air Race pilot, Pete McLeod.
